Google Business Profile Optimisation
Get your listing into the top three.
Google Business Profile optimisation is the work that turns a listing into a result customers actually see: the right categories, a service area that matches where you work, every service written out, your licence on display, current photos, and reviews arriving steadily. The profile is free. Making it compete is the part most tradies never finish.
Sound familiar
You have got a profile. You are still not in the top three.
It is filled in. There are photos on it. You have got more reviews than the bloke who keeps turning up above you. And when you search your own trade from a job two suburbs over, you are nowhere.
That is normal, and it is not a mystery. A complete profile is the entry ticket, not the ranking. What decides the three names under the map is a set of specific fields, most of which look finished and are not. We wrote up why a perfect-looking profile still misses the map pack if you want the long version.
The work
What we actually change
Not a report telling you what to do. We go in and do it.
- ✓Your primary category, then the secondary ones. This is the single biggest lever on the listing and it is the one most tradies have close but wrong.
- ✓A service area that matches your van, not a 50km circle drawn around the depot. Google treats a huge vague area as a weak signal everywhere in it.
- ✓Every service you quote, entered as its own service with a real description. Bare titles with nothing under them are wasted fields.
- ✓Your licence number shown where customers look for it, in the fields Google gives you for it.
- ✓Photos that are yours, current, and of actual jobs. Stock images and a five-year-old van shot do nothing for you.
- ✓The business description rewritten so it reads like your trade and your area, and the attributes set properly.
- ✓Posts started, so the listing is not sitting dormant. Google rewards a profile that is being used.
- ✓Reviews: how to ask, when to ask, and how the replies should read. This is the part that keeps working after we leave.
- ✓Any leftover Q&A content on your listing cleaned up. Google removed that feature, and the stale answers strangers left on it are still visible on some profiles.

Scale, $250/month
Everything in Grow, lifted to four posts a month, plus review requests sent by text with the replies written for you, and a monthly report instead of a quarterly one.
Full plan comparison is on the pricing page.
Proof, not promises
No listing at all, then number one
Aqua Andy, a Lane Cove pool tech, had no Google listing when he came to us. We claimed it, set the categories and service area properly, and got the review process running. Ten five-star reviews landed in eight days and he finished up the number one result for “pool installation Lane Cove”, ahead of competitors with five times his review count.

Common questions
Plain-English answers
What is Google Business Profile optimisation?
It is the work that turns a listing into a result customers actually see: the right primary category, a service area that matches where you really work, every service written out properly, your licence on display, current photos of your own jobs, and a steady flow of reviews. The profile is free. Getting it set up so it competes is the part most tradies never finish.
My profile is complete. Why am I still not in the top three?
Complete is the entry ticket, not the ranking. The usual culprits are a primary category that is close but wrong, a service area drawn as a huge circle instead of the suburbs you actually service, services left as bare titles with no descriptions, and reviews that stopped arriving eighteen months ago. Every one of those is fixable, and none of them show up as an error on your listing.
What does it cost?
$497 once, whether we are building the profile from nothing or fixing one you already have. Same work list either way. If you want the listing kept active after that, the Grow plan is $100 a month and Scale is $250 a month. Neither is required and there is no lock-in.
How long before anything changes?
Changes to categories, services and the service area are usually live on the listing within a day or two. Movement in the map takes longer, normally two to six weeks, and it depends on how competitive your trade and your suburbs are. Anyone who promises you the top three by Friday is guessing.
How is this different from the free Google Business Profile audit?
The free audit tells you what is wrong. We look at your listing, compare it to the competitors ranking above you, and send you the list. This page is the done-for-you version: we go in and fix all of it, including the parts that need manager access and the ones that are fiddly enough that most people give up halfway.
What happens once the one-off work is done?
Nothing, unless you want it to. The listing is yours and it stays optimised. The reason people take an ongoing plan is that Google rewards activity: posts, fresh photos, and reviews arriving regularly. Grow at $100 a month covers monthly posts, review monitoring, job photos sent in by WhatsApp and a quarterly ranking report. Scale at $250 a month lifts that to four posts a month, review requests by text, and a monthly report.
